Błażej Maliszewski , Ph.D leads his viola class at The Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music
in Gdańsk and at The Feliks Nowowiejski Primary and Secondary Music School in Gdańsk, Poland.
He constantly performs as a soloist and a chamber music player.
He cooperates with many orchestras ,often as a group leader. He runs instrumental courses
and lectures and also sits on competition jury. He is a member of The Polish Viola Society and also The Karol Kurpiński Music Society in Włoszakowice (Poland). He is the initiator and the art director
of The Nationwide Viola and Bass Competition in Gdańsk, Intercollegiate Viola Competitipn,Intercollegiate Viola Solo Competition and Etiuda School Competition for Viola Solo.
In2014 he translated and edited a book
by Stanisław Poniatowski : The Viola. Art and Heritage, which is the first publication in Poland dedicated to the history of viola. Currently he is working onthe biography of a great Polish viola virtuoso, professor Stefan Kamasa. He runs a viola class in a music school and leads a non profit society there to help talented young people perfect their skills.
In 2013 he took an active part in the International Viola Congress in Cracow (lecture and concert) and in Cremona (recital)
