Elias Goldstein

Elias Goldstein won second prize at the Primrose International Viola Competition in 2011, and made his Russian debut with the Moscow Soloists and the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. He took second prize at the Bashmet International Viola Competition, and was also a top prize-winner of the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition. He recently recorded the 24 Caprices by Paganini for Centaur Records, and was the first violist to perform all 24 Caprices on tour. He is a founding member of the Logos String Quartet, now in residence at Louisiana State University where is also associate professor of viola. Recent chamber music partnerships include the Pro Arte, Latin American, Shanghai, and Cavani Quartets, as well as Nobuko Imai, and Andrei Ionita.   Upcoming recital appearances in 2018 include: Helsinki, Toronto, Montreal, Bucharest, Los Angeles, Beijing, Washington DC, Seattle, Mexico and Norway.  He studied with Mark Zinger and with Sally Chisholm.
