Luca Sanzò, pupil of Bruno Giuranna, conducts an intense professional activity dividing his time between concerts, recordings and teaching. He has performed concerts all over the world, as a guest artist in prestigious concert halls and festivals: the music Biennale in Venice, Musicacusticafestival in Beijing, EMUFEST in Rome, the Staatsoper in Stuttgart, the Festival Synthese in Bourges, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Hercules Saal in Munich, the Metropolitan Museum in New York and Monaco Electoacustique, to name just a few.

He is particularly interested in the production and dissemination of new music, of which he is an esteemed performer. Many composers have dedicated works to him and consider him a reference point in the interpretation of their works.

He is a member of the Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble (PMCE), a resident ensemble specialized in 20th century and contemporary music at the auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. He is a founding member of the Michelangelo Quartet and is regularly invited to perform at the annual Rome Chamber Music Festival with musicians from all over the world.

He has played as Principal Solo Viola with the Rome Opera House and the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari.
He has published a revision of Campagnoli’s 41 Caprices for solo viola, for Ricordi. He is viola professor at the Rome Conservatorium of Santa Cecilia. He has recorded several CD's, including the Hindemith viola and piano sonatas and Brahms viola and piano sonatas with Brilliant Classics.
